Bayern Munich has made a high-profile signing by acquiring Colombian winger Luis Diaz from Liverpool on a four-year contract, according to an announcement made by the Bundesliga club on Wednesday. The exact financial terms weren't disclosed, but British media estimates place the transfer fee at approximately 75 million euros.
Diaz's tenure at Liverpool extended until June 2027 after joining from Porto in January 2022 for roughly 50 million euros. He played 148 matches across various competitions for Liverpool, where he scored 41 goals and made 23 assists, establishing himself as a formidable force on the field.
During the last Premier League season, Diaz was instrumental in helping Liverpool secure their 20th top-flight title, contributing 13 goals and seven assists. His versatility allows him to operate mainly as a left winger, though he also has experience playing as a striker. Diaz becomes the second Liverpool player to depart for Germany this transfer window, following Jarell Quansah's move to Bayer Leverkusen.
