Future Wrestling Stars Shine at Parliament as U-17 World Champions

Young athletes Ashvini Vishnoi and Komal Verma, fresh off their successes at the under-17 Wrestling World Championships in Athens, were celebrated at the Parliament House. They met with key ministers and dignitaries who praised their achievements, emphasizing the support offered by the Rajasthan Wrestling Association.

Two promising athletes, Ashvini Vishnoi and Komal Verma, were lauded by senior ministers during a tour of the Parliament House, following their medal-winning performances at the under-17 Wrestling World Championships in Athens.

The grapplers met Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and Minister of State for Sports Raksha Khadse, who congratulated them on their achievements. They also interacted with Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Rahul Narvekar and Lok Sabha member Jagdambika Pal.

Both athletes hail from Rajasthan, with Vishnoi clinching a gold medal in the 65 kg category, and Verma securing a bronze in the 49 kg freestyle. The Rajasthan Wrestling Association, led by President Rajeev Dutta, has supported their journey by covering all related expenses, ensuring they continue to excel on the global stage.
