Chandigarh's Angad Cheema delivered a calm yet powerful three-under 69 to surge ahead in the Coal India Open, currently held at the Kensville Golf and Country Club in Ahmedabad. With a total score of 11-under 205, Cheema now commands a slim lead.

Noida's Amardeep Malik, who led overnight by a two-stroke margin, recorded an even-par 72, dropping to second place with an overall score of 10-under 206. Meanwhile, Karandeep Kochhar from Chandigarh shared the spotlight, posting a 69 that secured him third position.

Udayan Mane from Pune, despite a rocky 78 on day one, rebounded impressively with consecutive rounds of 66, catapulting him 11 places to a tie for fourth alongside Delhi's Arjun Prasad. Local amateur talent Rakshit Dahiya showcased his potential, finishing tenth at two-under 214.
