In a decisive move, Perth Glory have terminated head coach David Zdrilic's contract after a dismal 4-0 defeat to Melbourne City. The decision comes just two games into the A-League season.
Glory began the season with hope, drawing 2-2 against Wellington Phoenix at home. However, they ended last season at the bottom, managing only four wins from 26 matches.
For Zdrilic, this marked his first head coaching role at a professional level after working as an assistant coach at Sydney FC and in Europe. The club's statement confirmed that an interim management team will oversee proceedings while a search for a permanent head coach is underway.
