In a groundbreaking achievement, 11-year-old Atiqa Mir from India has emerged as a rising star in the international karting circuit. Competing in the COTFA series, the young sensation secured a fourth-place finish in qualifying, becoming the highest-placing female in the championship's history.
Mir showcased her remarkable skills supported by the Formula 1 Academy, continuing to impress by finishing fourth in the Day 1 final, narrowly missing the podium by a mere 0.07 seconds. On Day 2, after showing promise in qualifying for the fifth position, she was in contention for a podium finish for most of the race.
Despite a last-minute overtake dropping her to a seventh-place finish, Atiqa maintained her spirit, eager to take on the Season finale. Her father, former racer Asif Mir, expressed his pride and commitment to her ongoing improvements as Atiqa prepares for the Champions of the Future Academy finale.
