Sachin Baisoya stormed through with an impressive 10-under 62 in the final round, earning the distinction of the highest-placed Indian at the tied third position during the debut USD 500,000 Bharath Classic Golf Tournament. This Asian Tour event, co-sponsored by the Indian Golf Premier League (IGPL), saw notable performances from local players.
Thailand's Poosit Supupramai clinched a thrilling victory by one shot ahead of South Korean challenger Wooyoung Cho, marking his first win on the Asian Tour. Poosit concluded with a sturdy 69, ending the tournament with an 18-under par total, while Cho pushed hard with a 17-under 271.
Remarkably, four Indian participants made it to the top 10, featuring strong performances including Yuvraj Sandhu, who finished seventh. Notably, Ishaan Chawhan, an Ahmedabad amateur, maintained an under-par streak for four days. Meanwhile, several other locals rounded out top-20 positions, showcasing India's rising presence in the golfing domain.
