Jharkhand clinched a thrilling 28-run victory against Tamil Nadu in the Elite Group D match of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, thanks to strong performances by Kumar Kushagra and Virat Singh. The two batsmen led Jharkhand to a formidable score of 207, forming the backbone of the innings.

In pursuit of Jharkhand's total, Tamil Nadu showed promise with Sai Sudharsan's 64, reaching 124 for 2 in 14 overs. However, a sudden collapse ensued following Sudharsan's untimely run-out, leaving Tamil Nadu at 179 for 7 at the close of play.
