Max Verstappen captured pole position for the crucial Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Lando Norris, leading the championship with a 12-point advantage, starts second, with Oscar Piastri in third. Verstappen's strategic maneuver with teammate Yuki Tsunoda played a pivotal role in his qualifying success.
Max Verstappen demonstrated his racing prowess by clinching pole position for the decisive Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The championship race is heating up, with McLaren's leader Lando Norris lining up beside him in the front row and Oscar Piastri qualifying third.
In a strategic move by Red Bull, Verstappen benefitted from an aerodynamic tow provided by teammate Yuki Tsunoda, who secured the 10th spot on the grid. This tactic allowed Verstappen to lap 0.201 seconds faster than Norris, highlighting the significance of teamwork in Formula One.
Norris, ahead of Verstappen by 12 points and his teammate Piastri by four, can clinch the championship title if he finishes on the podium in Sunday's grand finale at Yas Marina.
