Puducherry delivered a cricket shocker by defeating Bengal in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Spinners Jayant Yadav and Sidak Singh took pivotal wickets, overshadowing India's pacer Mohammed Shami. Bengal struggled to chase a target of 178 and were bowled out for 96, marking an 81-run victory for Puducherry.
Bengal's effort saw Shami securing three wickets, but it wasn't enough. Puducherry's Aman Khan starred with a brisk 74 runs. Meanwhile, the young talent Abhishek Sharma inspired Punjab's comprehensive win over Services, scoring 62 off 34 balls as Punjab posted 233 for 6 and bowled Services out for 160.
Elsewhere, Haryana narrowly defeated Baroda, thanks to Anshul Kamboj's stellar bowling. Gujarat emerged victorious against Himachal Pradesh in a last-ball thriller, with key contributions from their captain Urvil Patel and Mridul Surroch topping Himachal's scorecard with 88 runs.
