Coal Minister G Kishan Reddy has expressed confidence in India's ability to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games, describing the nation as a 'trustworthy' host during a cross-ministerial sensitisation programme. He outlined numerous governmental sports initiatives that have significantly transformed India's sports landscape over the past decade.

Highlighting India's journey, Reddy spoke about the involvement of Gen Z in nation-building and their support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision. He emphasized how the government's inter-ministerial approach aids in fostering awareness and collaboration across departments.

In a comprehensive presentation, Reddy detailed initiatives like the Target Olympic Podium Scheme and the Khelo India Scheme, discussing the country's ambition to host the 2036 Olympics. He reiterated the government's investment of Rs 3181 crore in sports infrastructure since 2015, paving the way for hosting international events across 20 different cities.
