Royal Challengers Bengaluru significantly enhanced their squad at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 mini auction. Leading the acquisitions was Indian all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer, secured for a notable Rs 7 crore. Complementing this major move, New Zealand pacer Jacob Duffy joined for Rs 2 crore, providing critical depth to the defending champions.

Further strengthening the team, RCB signed left-arm pacer Mangesh Yadav for Rs 5.2 crore, marking him as the fourth-highest uncapped Indian acquisition at the auction. The team also added dynamic English wicketkeeper-batter Jordan Cox for Rs 75 Lakhs. Continuing their strategy of investing in youth, the franchise secured 18-year-old talent Satvik Deswal, promising spin and a calm presence at the crease, for Rs 30 Lakhs.

RCB Head Coach Andy Flower expressed his enthusiasm for acquiring Iyer, who they pursued for two years, valuing his competitive nature and leadership skills. RCB's Director of Cricket, Mo Bobat, emphasized the team's focus was on building depth and injury cover without chasing 'bargain buys'. The auction moves align with RCB's objective to assemble a strong, commendable team.
