Toprak Razgatlioglu, Turkey's celebrated superbike champion, has set his sights on MotoGP following a triumphant third World Superbike title. The 29-year-old racer is transitioning to MotoGP in 2026, joining the Prima Pramac Racing team, with hopes of challenging renowned Ducati champion Marc Marquez.
Razgatlioglu will be racing on Yamaha motorcycles which, in recent years, have struggled to maintain competitiveness against Ducati. However, the tides may turn in 2027 when significant regulatory changes are expected in the MotoGP landscape, potentially leveling the playing field.
Razgatlioglu expressed his aspirations in an interview with Spain's MARCA, highlighting 2026 as a learning curve with a focus on achieving podium finishes. By 2027, he aims to compete fiercely with Marquez, marking it as a pivotal year for his MotoGP ambitions.
