Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has lavished praise on the stellar ODI performances of batsmen Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. He highlighted Kohli's unmatched current form while expressing a keen desire to see Rohit achieve a century in the decisive match against New Zealand in Indore on Sunday.
In an interview with ANI, Chopra emphasized that judging Rohit Sharma's ODI form is premature, given the long hiatus before the next series. He stressed that Rohit, who showcased his prowess with a century in Australia and notable fifties in the South Africa series, doesn't need to prove anything further.
Chopra also lauded Virat Kohli, asserting that the legendary batsman is in his finest ODI phase. Regarding injuries plaguing Team India as the T20 World Cup approaches, he expressed concern but optimism that the team could be primed for action by February 7.
