Indian shooting icon Jitu Rai has endorsed the Shooting League of India (SLI) as a transformative initiative that will broaden the sport's reach and elevate the standards of competition among Indian shooters. At the launch of the UP Prometheans franchise, Rai emphasized the league's potential to bridge elite performances with mass public engagement.

'This marks a new era for shooting in India, offering a platform where global audiences can experience the sport,' Rai stated in a press release. Rai, an accomplished pistol shooter with multiple ISSF World Cup golds, highlighted how SLI could nurture both interest and talent within the country.

Rai further elaborated on the league's transparency and accessibility, suggesting that SLI could demystify shooting for many Indians by showcasing technical skills and infrastructural support. He emphasized the league's potential as a global stage where emerging talents could become future champions.

During his visit to the UP Prometheans' cutting-edge facilities in Noida, Rai praised the franchise's commitment to high-performance standards and their impressive sporting infrastructure. He acknowledged the inaugural season, beginning in February in Delhi, as a promising platform for both Indian and international shooting talents.
