India's U19 fast bowler Henil Patel emerged as the hero with a standout performance against the USA in the ICC Under-19 Men's Cricket World Cup, inspired by the renowned South African pacer Dale Steyn. Patel's magic with the ball, claiming figures of 5/16, steered India to a six-wicket victory in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.

Patel's achievement marked the third-best figures by an Indian at any edition of the U19 World Cup, joining the ranks of Kamal Passi and Anukul Roy. Emphasizing his aggressive approach influenced by Steyn, Patel aims to dismiss batters within a few deliveries, showcasing his focus and calm demeanor on the field.

In the match, India bowled out the USA for 107 in just over 35 overs. Despite initial hurdles in their chase, India recovered with a crucial stand between Vihaan Malhotra and Abhigyan Kundu, ultimately reaching the target in 17.2 overs. Patel's spell and Kundu's unbeaten 42 secured a superb start for India's campaign.
