Mirra Andreeva, the third seed, showcased remarkable resilience at the Adelaide International, defeating Victoria Mboko 6-3, 6-1. Despite trailing 3-0, Andreeva staged a stunning comeback, winning nine consecutive games and capturing her fourth WTA title.
The final matched the only players under 20 in the top 20 of the WTA Tour, highlighting the emerging talent on the circuit. Andreeva, 18, faced off against 19-year-old Mboko, who initially led 3-0 in the first set before Andreeva's dominance sealed the match.
Mboko, who rose to a career-high 16th rank, commended Andreeva's performance, while both players prepare for the upcoming Australian Open. Meanwhile, in the men's final at Adelaide, Tomas Machac defeated Ugo Humbert.
