Surat, India – Yash Anil Rashiya, an emerging star in Indian Roll Ball, has etched his name in history by clinching the gold medal at the 7th Roll Ball World Cup 2025 in Dubai. The 20-year-old athlete played a pivotal role in India's championship victory, elevating the status of Roll Ball and placing Surat, Gujarat, on the global sports map.
Rashiya impressed international audiences with his standout performances throughout the tournament. He netted two goals each against Saudi Arabia and Brazil in the league stages, added two more against Pakistan in the quarter-final, and secured a crucial goal against Egypt in the semi-final. The crowning moment arrived when he scored the match-winning goal in the final against Kenya.
Rashiya's journey into Roll Ball began in 2009 with skating, later transitioning under coach Jaimin Bharat Patel's guidance.
