Defensa y Justicia cut gap at top of Superliga Argentina
Alexis Castro, who was also introduced late in the match by manager Sebastian Beccacece, struck the winner in the fourth minute of stoppage time. The result at the Norberto Tomaghello Stadium on the southern outskirts of Buenos Aires lifted Defensa y Justicia to 42 points from 18 matches with only goal difference separating them from Racing.
Beccacece's men are the only team yet to be defeated in the competition. Meanwhile, Argentinos Juniors are last in the 26-team standings with just 11 points so far.
