In a commanding performance, Delhi Capitals advanced to their fourth straight Women's Premier League (WPL) final, defeating Gujarat Giants by seven wickets in a lopsided Eliminator match on Tuesday. Led by Jemimah Rodrigues, Delhi will compete against defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the final at the BCA Stadium on February 5. Despite making it to four finals, Delhi is still in search of their first title.

The Capitals' chase of 169 began explosively, with the team reaching 89 runs by the seventh over. Gujarat's Georgia Wareham provided a breakthrough, dismissing wicketkeeper-batter Lizelle Lee for a quick-fire 43 off 24 balls. Wareham also took the wicket of opener Shafali Verma for 31 runs, breaking the opening stand at 89.

Earlier, Beth Mooney's steady innings of 62 not out helped Gujarat set a target of 169. Notably, Delhi's Chinelle Henry impressed with three wickets, including the crucial dismissal of Gujarat's Ashleigh Gardner for a golden duck. The Capitals chased down the target in 15.4 overs, thanks largely to Jemimah Rodrigues' significant partnership with Laura Wolvaardt.
