In a momentous celebration following India's historic T20 World Cup victory, captain Suryakumar Yadav, head coach Gautam Gambhir, and International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman Jay Shah paid a visit to the Hanuman Temple in Ahmedabad. They sought blessings with the prestigious T20 World Cup trophy in hand, crowning a series of extraordinary accomplishments.
The Indian cricket team etched their name in history by clinching a record-breaking third T20 World Cup title. This victory, achieved after a commanding 96-run win against New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium, made India the first team to defend and win the championship on home turf.
New Zealand, who initially won the toss and chose to field, faced an onslaught from India's batting lineup. A resurgent Abhishek Sharma, who scored a rapid-fire 52 from 21, and Sanju Samson's partnership paved the way past the 200-run mark. Despite a half-century from Tim Seifert, the Kiwis were overwhelmed by India's bowling attack, culminating in their dismissal for 159 runs. (ANI)
