WADA President Witold Banka is on a mission in India, focusing on eradicating organized doping in the nation's sports scene. On Wednesday, he held discussions with CBI special director Manoj Sashidhar about collaboration against criminal doping networks.

Earlier, Banka had met with officials from the National Anti-Doping Agency, stressing the urgent need to protect the integrity of sports in India. Scheduled to hold a press conference in Delhi, he plans to address India's alarming doping statistics.

India ranks second globally for doping cases, reporting a 3.6% positivity rate. The push for better governance and policy is echoed by Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, who advocates for a more aggressive anti-doping strategy supported by the CBI.
