Shekhawat showcased her skills in the final, securing the top position with a score of 240.5, followed by Haryana’s Kanak Budhwar and Punjab's Agam Ranjit Kaur Grewal.
Anjali Shekhawat of Rajasthan achieved a significant milestone by winning the gold medal in the women's 10m air pistol event during the 24th Kumar Surendra Singh Memorial Shooting Championship. Shekhawat initially qualified fourth with a score of 576-23x but displayed an outstanding performance in the final, securing a score of 240.5 to climb to the top of the podium.
Haryana's Kanak Budhwar earned the silver medal with a score of 238.7, while Punjab's Agam Ranjit Kaur Grewal secured the bronze with a score of 216. Meanwhile, Olympian Esha Singh led the qualification round with a score of 582-20x, although both she and Mahima Turhi Agrawal did not start in the final.
Notably, in the 10m air pistol junior women's category, Kanak Budhwar claimed gold once more, accentuating Haryana's dominance. The state continued to thrive with further success in the team event, as Priyanshi Purva, Navya, and Surbhi Rao combined to achieve a gold medal-winning total.
