Indian boxers excelled at the Asian Boxing U15 & U17 Championships 2026 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Dominant victories were recorded in both categories with standout performances from Nongpoknganba Meitei Oina, Parshant, Mohd Yasser, and others, highlighting India's promising boxing talent on the international stage.
India's youthful boxing talent continues to make waves at the Asian Boxing U15 & U17 Championships 2026 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The Indian team registered several impressive victories across both the U-15 and U-17 boys' categories, reflecting their growing prowess on the international front.
In the U-15 division, Nongpoknganba Meitei Oina delivered a strong performance with a 5:0 win over Kazakhstan's Abdurakhman Vushanlo. Similarly, Parshant mirrored this triumph by defeating Bakdaulet Akhmet with an identical scoreline. Mohd Yasser stood out by securing a first-round RSC success against Kyrgyzstan's Akbarzhan Nabidzhanov, while Nivesh Pal also emerged victorious against Kazakhstan's Adilet Galiyev.
The U-17 category saw Pal Nivesh continue his winning streak with another 5:0 success over Galiyev. Ranveer clinched a win via ABD against Chinese Taipei's Ying-Chieh Chen, and Lakshay Phogat showcased dominance with a first-round RSC victory. However, Pradeep and Hanjra Jaideep Singh faced losses against tough opponents from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, respectively, in closely contested bouts.
With a combination of decisive victories and challenging matches, the Indian boxers are demonstrating strong potential and depth at the ongoing championships in Tashkent.
