The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is undertaking a vigorous initiative to recover billions of rupees in outstanding dues from defaulting franchises, broadcasters, and business partners to replenish its funds. According to a source within the PCB, legal notices have been dispatched, demanding the settlement of unpaid dues to prevent legal actions and contract cancellations.

While certain Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises have settled their dues, disputes persist over the board's delay in distributing shares from the central pool. A significant defaulter, a company managing broadcasting and media rights, has yet to clear approximately 4.5 billion PKR in debts, hindering the board's ability to maintain accurate financial records.

Despite the new PSL franchises fulfilling their financial obligations, the PCB faces the challenge of securing and distributing central pool funds for future PSL editions. Compounding the issue, some parties remain delinquent on sponsorships and advertising commitments, further straining the board's resources.
