India's sports ministry has clarified that while Pakistani players and teams may participate in multilateral events held in India, bilateral sports events remain excluded. The ministry emphasized simplifying the visa process for sportspersons and officials attending international events, noting India's credibility as a host for major sports gatherings.

India's sports ministry has announced a conditional stance on cricket and other sports exchanges with Pakistan. While allowing Pakistani participation in multilateral events hosted in India, bilateral games between the two nations remain suspended.

The ministry also took steps to streamline the visa process for athletes and officials. By granting multi-entry visas to international sports governing bodies' officials, the move aims to bolster India's image as a reliable host for global sporting events.

India has ambitious aspirations, including hosting the Commonwealth Games in 2030, the 2036 Olympics, and the 2038 Asian Games. Amid diplomatic tensions, there has been no bilateral cricket since the 2012-13 series, with India restricting matches to neutral venues.
