Iranian FA (FFIRI) President Mehdi Taj praised the event as the best send-off in four campaigns, emphasizing the unity between players and the public. However, diplomatic tensions have cast doubt, particularly following President Taj's visa refusal in Canada due to his IRGC ties.

Hedayat Mombeini, FFIRI secretary-general, remains hopeful for timely visa processing, urging FIFA to ensure sport stays separate from politics, while maintaining their focus on upcoming warm-up matches, including a fixture against Gambia in Antalya.
