Young Boxer from Jammu and Kashmir Strikes Gold at Asian Championship

In a historic achievement, Mohammad Yasser, a young talent from Rajouri, has brought glory to Jammu and Kashmir by clinching gold at the Asian U-15 Boxing Championship in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
The 14-year-old outperformed competitors from Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Iran, and the host nation in the 58-kg category, marking a significant milestone as the first from his state to win this title. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah extended his congratulations, highlighting Yasser's hard work and dedication.
Abdullah's message also emphasized the government's ongoing commitment to enhancing sports infrastructure and fostering opportunities for young athletes to shine on both national and international platforms.
