Irfan Pathan Critiques Dhruv Jurel's Strike Rate in Rajasthan Royals' Defeat
Former cricketer Irfan Pathan criticized Dhruv Jurel's slow scoring rate, which contributed to Rajasthan Royals' defeat against Delhi Capitals. Despite half-centuries from Jurel and Riyan Parag, RR failed to reach 200 after collapsing to Starc's bowling. DC comfortably chased the target, with notable fifties from KL Rahul and Abhisek Porel.
In a recent IPL clash, former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan didn't hold back his criticism of Rajasthan Royals' Dhruv Jurel for his batting performance against Delhi Capitals. According to Pathan, Jurel could have accelerated the scoring to help RR surpass the 200-run mark.
Despite half-centuries from Jurel and Riyan Parag, their efforts weren't enough as the Royals transitioned from 160-odd for two to end at 193/8, courtesy of Mitchell Starc's impressive four-wicket haul. The Capitals chased down the target with relative ease, securing a comfortable win.
Jurel's innings, comprising 53 runs from 40 balls, was overshadowed by Parag's swashbuckling 51 from just 26 deliveries. Speaking via his YouTube channel, Pathan emphasized the need for Jurel to improve his strike rate, pointing out that RR managed only 33 runs in the last six overs of their innings.
