Fox, aligned with the Free National Movement (FNM), joined the Senate days after a closely contested bid for a seat in the Bahamian House of Assembly. He has emphasized his commitment to bolstering political transparency and accountability, aiming for an economy that benefits more Bahamians.

Born to a Bahamian father and a Canadian mother, Fox transitioned into politics after his NBA career, previously serving as an ambassador-at-large appointed by the Progressive Liberal Party. This move into the Senate marks a significant chapter in his political journey.
