Over 900 participants register for marathon in Uttarakhand's Niti Valley on May 31
Uttarakhand's Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami flagged off the 'Niti Extreme Ultra Run 2026', a marathon in the Niti Valley, aimed at promoting energy, opportunities, and confidence in border regions.

More than 900 participants from 27 states have registered to take part in a marathon scheduled for May 31 in the Niti Valley, situated in the upper Garhwal region of Uttarakhand.
Ahead of the 'Niti Extreme Ultra Run 2026', Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday flagged off a 'countdown run' event. He also lit a ceremonial torch and personally participated in a symbolic run.
The chief minister said that the 'Niti Extreme Ultra Run' is not merely an event, but a campaign aimed at awakening new energy, new opportunities and renewed confidence in the border regions.
He added that running in a rugged and challenging terrain like the Niti Valley requires indomitable courage, unwavering faith and the spirit to face challenges head-on.
