Join the Race: Volunteers Sought for Historic 2027 Tour de France Grand Departs

Grand Depart GB has launched a nationwide campaign to recruit 9,000 volunteers for the 2027 Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes, marking an unprecedented occasion where both men's and women's cycling events will hold their Grand Departs outside of France in the same year.

The men's race will include three British stages spanning from Edinburgh to Cardiff, with stops in Carlisle, Keswick, Liverpool, and Welshpool. Volunteers are sought for all six British stages, with opportunities available across Scotland, England, and Wales.

British Cycling extends a call to the government for a £30 million capital investment aimed at developing cycling facilities nationwide, specifically aiding underserved communities. Offering full training and a special employability skills program for young volunteers, this effort promises to enrich both the events and the broader community.
