As part of their preparations, the boys' team, captained by Ketan Kushwaha, engaged in a competitive four-match series with Australia, gaining valuable insights and experience. In Pool A, they will face strong opponents including Japan and Korea. Meanwhile, the girls’ team, led by Sweety Kujur, also holds high hopes following a confidence-building series against Australia. They will open against Malaysia in Pool A.

The competition is fierce, with only the top two teams from each pool advancing to the semifinals. Both teams aim not only to demonstrate their prowess but to carry forward the legacy of Indian hockey, with a strong focus on teamwork and strategic play.
