Preparation for National Games in Focus During Mandaviya's Meghalaya Visit

Mansukh Mandaviya will oversee the preparatory activities for the upcoming 39th National Games during his three-day tour of Meghalaya. A key aspect of his visit includes inaugurating an Integrated Multipurpose Indoor Sports Complex in Shillong, enhancing the region's sports infrastructure with a Rs 132.9 crore investment.
The minister's itinerary also features participation in youth programs and a Chintan Shivir organized by the Department of Youth Affairs. Officials will sign the Host State Contract for the National Games, scheduled for March next year, solidifying plans in the presence of leaders from the Indian Olympic Association.
Mandaviya's visit will also cover evaluations at the Umsawli Sports Complex and a review of regional projects under the Poorvottar Sampark Setu initiative, focusing on sports facility developments and the progress of centrally-backed schemes.
