Bayer Leverkusen has emerged as the leader in the Bundesliga’s annual profit rankings, according to the latest financial report released by Germany's top soccer league. Despite Bayern Munich's on-pitch triumph as this season's champions, they came in second place financially.

The annual ranking, covering financial results for the year ending either in June or December 2025 for different clubs, highlighted Leverkusen’s fiscal advantage. This was attributed to their lower personnel expenses and other costs, even as Bayern Munich generated higher revenues.

Leverkusen's impressive net income reached 133 million euros ($155 million) in 2025, a significant increase from 3.1 million euros the previous year, against an average of 11.3 million for the league. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich's net income fell to 28 million euros from 43.6 million, and Borussia Dortmund's profits dropped significantly. TSG Hoffenheim ended the year with a net loss of 26.6 million euros, compared to the previous year's net loss of 23.2 million euros.
