The president of the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI), Kapil Dev, has expressed his desire for star golfer Gaganjeet Bhullar to return to PGTI. Bhullar recently joined the Indian Golf Premier League (IGPL), a private league. PGTI CEO Amanpreet Johl underlined the significance of unity among players to represent India officially.

Johl emphasized that while PGTI does not prevent anyone from joining other leagues, loyalty and rules adherence are paramount. Bhullar, who joined IGPL last August as an icon player and quickly rose to prominence, is encouraged to consider the larger interest of Indian golf, embracing his role within the national tour.

Johl acknowledged that the competition from IGPL has driven both Bhullar and PGTI to heighten their performance. Despite this, he believes consistency within the PGTI is vital for strengthening India's golfing future. Discussion has continued regarding the selection of players in private leagues and the potential ramifications for national representation.
