Italian tennis stars Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori successfully defended their French Open mixed doubles title with a stunning comeback victory on Thursday. Facing American Evan King and Canadian Gabriela Dabrowski, the Italian pair overcame a first set loss to win 4-6, 6-3, (10-4).

The crucial tiebreaker, played on the prestigious Court Philippe Chatrier, saw Errani and Vavassori dominate, becoming the first team to retain the mixed doubles championship at Roland Garros since Ivan Dodig and Latisha Chan's back-to-back victories in 2018 and 2019.
