The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced Sooryavanshi's inclusion in the national squad for the European tour on Saturday, making him the youngest player ever selected for the Indian men's team.

Sooryavanshi has notably shattered a 36-year-old record set by Sachin Tendulkar, who debuted against Pakistan in 1989 at 16. Following a sensational Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season with the Rajasthan Royals, Sooryavanshi emerged as the tournament's highest run-scorer, thanks to his formidable strike rate and record-breaking feats.
