In a significant development for the tennis world, top-ranked player Jannik Sinner has announced his withdrawal from the upcoming U.S. Open. The decision comes as a result of a persistent right knee injury that has kept the 24-year-old sidelined since his remarkable Wimbledon victory last month.

The Italian star had already missed the Cincinnati and Canadian Open events, crucial hard-court tournaments leading up to the U.S. Open. Despite efforts and treatment, Sinner admitted the challenge of competing while still recovering from his knee issue, as confirmed in a statement issued on his social media account.

Another notable withdrawal is that of Jack Draper from the event, as stated by the Lawn Tennis Association. Draper, once ranked fourth in the world, is dealing with a longstanding left arm injury, impacting his performance and ranking this year.
