Free-agent forward Rondae Hollis-Jefferson has agreed to a one-year deal with the Toronto Raptors, according to multiple reports. Hollis-Jefferson spent his first four seasons with the Brooklyn Nets. He became a free agent last month when Brooklyn declined to make him a qualifying offer.

The Nets were shedding salaries to prepare for free agency and ended up landing forward Kevin Durant, guard Kyrie Irving and center DeAndre Jordan. Hollis-Jefferson joins a Raptors' team that lost star forward Kawhi Leonard to the Los Angeles Clippers via free agency.

Hollis-Jefferson, 24, averaged 8.9 points and 5.3 rebounds in 59 games (21 starts) last season. He has career averages of 9.9 points and 5.9 rebounds in 234 games (147 starts). Outside shooting has been a weakness. Hollis-Jefferson was just 9 of 49 from 3-point range last season, dropping his career percentage to 22.3 (41 of 184).
