Eighth seed Elina Svitolina became the first Ukrainian woman to reach a Grand Slam singles semi-final, beating unseeded Czech Karolina Muchova 7-5 6-4 on No. 1 Court. She will meet Romanian seventh seed Simona Halep on grass for the first time on Thursday for a place in the final. Svitolina has won four of their previous seven meetings.
