Freddy Galvis and Brandon Drury both homered as the visiting Toronto Blue Jays extended their winning streak to five games with a 5-2 victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Friday night. Toronto now has won the first two games of this four-game series after taking three in a row against Kansas City before that.

The Blue Jays banged out five homers in the opener Thursday, an 11-2 victory, and now have seven in this series. Baltimore's young pitching staff has given up a major-league high 214 homers this season. Wilmer Font was the opener for Toronto and threw two scoreless innings before Nick Kingham (4-2) took over and went three shutout innings. Kingham was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo earlier in the day.

Derek Law closed it for the Blue Jays by getting the final six outs and earned his first save this season. He needed to escape a ninth-inning jam to finish the job. Aaron Brooks started for the Orioles and a two-run first inning proved to be his downfall. Brooks (2-5) needed 30 pitches to get through that opening frame and eventually lasted five innings, giving up three runs, but Baltimore couldn't catch up.

In that first inning, Toronto rallied after Brooks retired the first two batters. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. gave the Jays a 1-0 lead with his two-out single, and Galvis drove in the second run with a single two batters later. Galvis then stretched the lead to 3-0 with a leadoff homer in the fourth. Drury made it 4-0 when he homered off Gabriel Ynoa -- another two-out shot.

Overall, Galvis finished the night 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored. Baltimore cut the lead in half when Chris Davis hit a two-run homer to right off Sam Gaviglio in the bottom of the seventh. It was Davis' 250th home run as an Oriole.

The Jays added some insurance in the ninth when Galvis singled and later scored on a Derek Fisher single to centre. That was Fisher's first hit and RBI with Toronto, who acquired him from Houston earlier this week.
