Rougned Odor blasted a two-out homer to center in the 10th inning to give the host Texas Rangers a 5-4 victory over the Detroit Tigers on Saturday. Odor's 20th homer of the season came off Nick Ramirez (5-4). Willie Calhoun hit his eighth homer, while Delino DeShields and Jose Trevino each scored and drove in a run for Texas.

Jose Leclerc (2-3) pitched an inning of scoreless relief to notch the victory. The Rangers have won the first two games of the three-game series by identical 5-4 scores. Miguel Cabrera hit a two-run homer for Detroit and also scored another run on a two-hit night. Harold Castro recorded two RBIs, while starting pitcher Matthew Boyd struck out nine in 5 2/3 innings.

Detroit scored two runs in the first and wasted an opportunity to expand the lead. JaCoby Jones led off with a double, and Cabrera blasted a one-out homer to straightaway center. The Tigers then loaded the bases with two down, but Jake Rogers flied out to left. The Rangers scored a run in the third when Isiah Kiner-Falefa doubled to lead off the inning and Trevino knocked him in with a single. After walking the next batter, Boyd recorded three consecutive swinging strikeouts.

Calhoun's leadoff homer to right in the fourth tied the score at 2-all. Detroit answered with a pair of two-out runs in the fifth. Cabrera singled and advanced to third on Brandon Dixon's double. Castro then bounced a single up the middle to bring home both runners.

Detroit had runners in scoring position with one out in the sixth, but Niko Goodrum struck out and Cabrera grounded out. The Rangers tied it in the seventh at 4-all with the help of an error. Right fielder Travis Demeritte dropped Trevino's leadoff fly ball. Trevino then scored on a DeShields double. One out later, DeShields scored on Elvis Andrus' sacrifice fly. Second baseman Gordon Beckham made a diving catch against Andrus with a runner on second in the bottom of the ninth, forcing extra innings.
