Satwik-Chirag slip out of top 10 in world ranking

India's men's doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty slipped out of top 10 after dropping three places in the latest BWF rankings released on Tuesday. The young Indian pair is now at the 12th spot with 54830 points in 13 tournaments.
Satwik and Chirag had jumped seven places last week to enter the top 10 at the ninth spot following their maiden title triumph at the Thailand Open BWF Super 500 event. The duo had become the first Indian pair to win a BWF Super 500 title by beating World Champions Li Jun Hui and Liu Yu Chen of China in the finals of Thailand Open in Bangkok.
Among others, women's doubles pair of Ashwini Ponnappa and N Sikki Reddy, who finished runners-up at Hyderabad Open on Sunday, improved six places to grab the 17th spot. Hyderabad Open champion Sourabh Verma moved up six places to be at 38th place.
HS Prannoy and Parupalli Kashyap also improved one place each to take the 30th and 31st positions respectively. Sameer Verma slipped one place to 14th spot, while Kidambi Srikanth and B Sai Praneeth stayed glued to the 10th and 19th positions respectively.
In women's singles, P V Sindhu and Saina Nehwal remained static at the fifth and eighth positions respectively.
