Reliever Trevor Rosenthal signed a minor-league deal with the New York Yankees, according to multiple reports on Tuesday. Rosenthal missed all of last season after undergoing Tommy John surgery and was released by the Washington Nationals in June after giving up 16 runs in 6 1/3 innings

The Detroit Tigers picked up Rosenthal but let him go after he allowed seven runs in 10 appearances last month. The 29-year-old had a successful run with the Cardinals, saving 93 games in 2014-15 and posting a 2.99 ERA in 325 innings pitched over six seasons in St. Louis.
