Avalanche acquire G Bibeau

The Colorado Avalanche announced Friday they have acquired goaltender Antoine Bibeau from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for defenseman Nicolas Meloche. Bibeau, 25, spent the 2018-19 season with AHL's San Jose Barracuda, where he went 16-13-5 with a .904 save percentage and a 2.89 goals-against average.

The 6-foot-3 goalie was taken in the sixth round of the 2013 draft by Toronto. He's played just two career NHL games, both for the Maple Leafs in the 2016-17 season, and went 1-1-0 with a .927 save percentage and a 1.99 goals-against average. Bibeau will report to the Colorado Eagles' training camp.
