- United States
Detroit Pistons point guard Reggie Jackson will miss at least a month with a stress reaction in his lower back. The team announced Saturday that Jackson will begin immediate treatment and rehabilitation, and he will be evaluated in four weeks.
Jackson has missed the past four games for the Pistons (2-4). In two games, he is averaging 5.0 points, 4.0 assists and 18 minutes. In 82 games last season, he averaged 15.4 points and 4.2 assists in 27.9 minutes per game.
Veteran point guard Derrick Rose, in his first season with the Pistons, has helped to make up for Jackson's absence. He has played in six games off the bench, averaging 20.8 points and 6.3 assists. Rose, 31, was listed as questionable for Saturday night's home game against the Brooklyn Nets with a hamstring issue.
The Pistons continue to be without All-Star Blake Griffin, sidelined with injuries to his left leg. --Field Level Media
