Report: Bulls C Carter (ankle) to miss multiple weeks

Chicago Bulls big man Wendell Carter Jr. could miss multiple weeks with a right high-ankle sprain, The Athletic's Shams Charania reported Thursday. An MRI confirmed the extent of the injury, per the report.

The 20-year-old center landed awkwardly during the second half of Monday night's 118-110 loss in Dallas. He did not play in Wednesday's 123-108 defeat in New Orleans. Carter is averaging 11.7 points and 9.9 rebounds and shooting 53.7 percent from the field in 37 games (all starts) in his second NBA season.

The No. 7 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft out of Duke, Carter averaged 10.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 44 games (all starts) in 2018-19. --Field Level Media
