The Arizona Cardinals signed Canadian Football League quarterback Chris Streveler, a reigning Grey Cup champion, to a futures contract on Tuesday. Streveler, 25, helped the Winnipeg Blue Bombers to victory in the 107th Grey Cup in November in a multi-faceted role, going 3 of 3 for 39 yards and a touchdown through the air while adding nine carries for 30 yards and a 13-yard reception.

An undrafted product out of South Dakota in 2018, Streveler is viewed as a Swiss Army knife type of players like New Orleans' Taysom Hill, who plays a variety of positions on offense and special teams. Streveler was not the Blue Bombers' primary starting quarterback, but he started as an injury replacement in both 2018 and 2019. He went 242 of 374 for 2,698 yards, 19 touchdowns and 19 interceptions across 35 games the last two seasons while adding 204 carries for 1,167 yards and 22 scores on the ground.

The Cardinals' backup quarterback, Brett Hundley, will be a free agent in March.
