Google Meet now lets you conduct polls and Q&A's during live streams
Google has expanded the Q&A and poll features to live-streamed meetings on Google Meet, providing a more feature-rich, collaborative experience. Previously, these features were available only in traditional Meet meetings.
By enabling the Q&A feature in live-streamed meetings, hosts can now foster better audience engagement and ensure that questions are promptly answered. This is particularly beneficial for educators who can utilize the Q&A feature as a structured platform for students to ask questions related to the content being taught. Similarly, businesses can leverage this feature to promote inclusivity, granting all meeting participants an equal opportunity to pose queries, Google said.
The Q&A feature also allows participants to submit queries and upvote their favourite questions, ensuring a seamless flow of communication without any interruptions.
Moreover, the introduction of the poll feature in live-streamed meetings offers a quick and effective method for gauging audience sentiment. By creating polls, hosts can identify topics that require further discussion or assess the comprehension of the meeting content. This real-time feedback mechanism empowers business users to gain valuable insights from their colleagues, enables educators to test the understanding of remote students, and helps sales teams deliver more engaging and interactive sales presentations to prospective customers.
With the highly-anticipated Q&A and poll features becoming available in Google Meet live streams, participants can now enjoy a more immersive and interactive experience, irrespective of their location.
The extended rollout of these features commenced on June 28, 2023, for both Rapid and Scheduled Release domains. It may take more than 15 days for the features to be visible to all eligible users, which include Google Workspace Enterprise Essentials Plus, Enterprise Starter, Enterprise Plus, Enterprise Standard, Education Plus, and the Teaching and Learning upgrade customers.
