The OnePlus Nord 3 has started receiving the OxygenOS 14.0.0.500 update that incorporates the February 2024 Android security patch and also brings a couple of new features and enhancements to the handset.

This update introduces the ability to use fingerprint unlock without waking up the screen and also adds a switch for year/month/day views in Settings.

  • You can now use fingerprint unlock without waking up the screen.
  • You can now choose to show the screen recording indicator in a floating window or in the status bar.
  • Integrates the February 2024 Android security patch to enhance system security.

Apps

  • Improves the experience of viewing weather details.
  • Adds a switch for year/month/day views in Settings.

The update is rolling out in batches and will reach a limited number of users today. Go to Settings > System > System Updates to manually check for the update.

OnePlus Nord 3: Specifications

The OnePlus Nord 3 boasts a 6.74-inch 120Hz Super Fluid AMOLED display and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset. The handset is offered with 8GB/16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128GB/256 GB storage options.

Nord 3 is fuelled by a 5000mAh battery that supports 80W SuperVOOC fast charging technology, allowing for quick charging and minimizing downtime.

For photography, the OnePlus Nord 3 features a triple rear camera setup, with the primary 50MP camera using the Sony IMX890 sensor. The main shooter is assisted by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel macro lens is also available for close-up shots. On the front, there is a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
